Comparison with other types of heating

Comparison with electric convectors

What is an electric convector? This is a device consisting of a panel and a heating element (heater), passing through which, the air is heated and rises due to convection. At the same time, cold air enters the convector through the holes at the bottom, and warm air is ejected through the top of the panel.

What is the difference and advantages of NHT Tech Electric Radiators over electric convectors?

In electric convectors, the heating element heats up to 160˚С, and the temperature on the panel does not exceed 70˚С. Why is heat not transferred and where does it go? The fact is that the transfer of heat from a heated body depends on the heat transfer area (for electric convectors, it is minimal - this is the area of \u200b\u200bthen), the heat transfer coefficient (air has a low heat transfer coefficient) and the temperature difference between the heat transfer element and the heated air. In order to heat the room, it is necessary to increase the heating temperature of the electric convector. All this leads to low efficiency of this type of heater. In addition, at such temperatures, the electric convector heater dries and burns the air, a characteristic smell may appear (dust microparticles burn on contact with the heating element).

The heating element of the NHT Tech Electric Radiator is also small in size, but a special liquid acts as a heat conductor, which accumulates and conducts heat 4 times better than air. The same can be said about the aluminum from which the body of the device is made. Therefore, the temperature of the heating element and the housing are the same (70˚С) - heat does not dissipate, does not dry the air, does not burn dust. In addition, the battery has a larger heat-releasing surface than any other heater of the same size.

Comparison with oil heater

The oil heater is a metal case filled with mineral oil, which has a high boiling point (250-300°C). Heating elements are immersed in oil. The intensity of heat transfer from oil to the wall is 4–6 times lower than from an aqueous solution. So that the dimensions of the radiator are not too large, the oil heater jacket is almost completely filled with oil. The small heat transfer area of the oil cooler leads to excessive consumption of electricity and an increase in the load on the network. In other words, it consumes electricity at face value (1.5-2 kWh), but in fact it is cold. The surface of the radiator is very hot, which increases the risk of accidental burns (especially children), and can also lead to a fire (often, oil coolers have an unstable design). Also, the high surface temperature leads to the burning of oxygen, which leads to poor health of the person next to the heater.

Now a few facts - an oil cooler costs 3000 UAH, only the seller will not say that it burns oxygen, is fire hazardous, and most importantly, it will wind up electricity by 1600-1800 UAH per month for one room up to 20 sq.m! In addition, think about what could be the cost of a “oil pot” worth 3,000 UAH, taking into account delivery, customs clearance and trade margins? Somewhere in the region of 1-1.5 thousand UAH .... For 1500 UAH. can you make a normal heater, according to the requirements of fire safety and efficiency? Bottom line - when buying an oil cooler, you will overpay for electricity and get a low-quality, fire hazardous and environmentally harmful device. We offer you a heater that meets European standards in all respects, incl. on economy. It will pay for itself in 1-2 seasons, and then it will save energy.

Comparison with boiler heating system

The heating system based on boiler equipment is based on natural or forced circulation of the coolant in a system consisting of pipes and radiators. This is one of the best types of heating, with the exception of one minus - the boiler does not control the actual temperature of all rooms, depending on daily fluctuations in the street - so overheating cannot be avoided. At the same time, if we take into account the capital costs (design, installation, purchase of a boiler, pump, payment for commissioning, etc.), then the costs of a boiler heating system will seem very high to many.

And what about the heating system with NHT Tech Electric Radiators? Capital costs are reduced to the purchase of the number of devices necessary for heating. In addition, smart electronics sees the actual temperature in each room and maintains it individually, according to your preferences. In other words, with the help of electric batteries, we neutralize the high cost of boiler equipment (no need for a project, boiler, pump, pipes) and gain an advantage - savings of 10-20% due to individual heating of each room of the building.

Comparison with infrared heaters

The principle of operation of infrared heaters is similar to the work of the sun: they create thermal radiation due to the high temperature of the radiating surface, which is absorbed by furniture and interior items, wall surfaces, and they subsequently give off this heat to the surrounding air. Thus, the same thermal effect that the sun creates is obtained. For a long time, disputes have not subsided - is infrared radiation harmful? There are no unequivocal answers yet... Infrared ceiling heaters have a high radiation surface temperature (up to 600˚С), are fire hazardous, burn dust and dry the air. In addition, they require special installation. This type of heating will be indispensable when the height of the room is more than 3-4 meters and is used for heating warehouses, hangars and other high structures.

Modern wall-mounted household infrared heaters also have a number of disadvantages: they have low power (mostly models up to 700 W) and radiation surface temperature (up to 100 ° C), which does not provide the necessary thermal radiation to heat the room - therefore, they are bought either several (2 -3 pieces), which spoils the interior of the room (you need to hang the entire wall with heaters) or take it for additional local heating.

The NHT Tech electric radiator is not only devoid of these shortcomings, but has an undeniable advantage - climate control, which allows you to maintain the specified parameters and a large heat transfer area.
